The Witcher 3 Remastered Playthrough #9

Geralt arrives in Lindenvale and takes on two contracts: One turned out to be a gravehag and the other a chort, both dispatched efficiently. A old noble woman hires him to rid her mansion of monsters. Geralt arrives at the homestead only to find it filled with traps. Soon he finds the individual that set them: Letho of Gulet, fleeing assassins and bounty hunters. Geralt helps him avoid death, catch a traitor and fake his death, then he offers him a place at Kaer Morhen. Our witcher then stumbled on a town filled with pigs, an eccentric young man explains the pigs are actually the villagers. Geralt finds the curses source and then lifts it, the villages however show little gratitude. Geralt takes on a few more contracts one from the Nilfgaardians and one a local. He also met a local soothsayer and played Gwent with him, then did a small favor for him and received a vision involving Ithlinne's prophecy. He then finally reaches Crookback Bog, following the Trail of Treats he find a strange woman called Gran and orphans she takes care of. After being chased out, he manages to learn more from a godling named Johnny, who convinces Gran to let him speak with the Crones. The Crones demand a favor in return, visit Downwarren and help the inhabitants. Geralt learns of a strange spirit lives within a tree nearby and investigates. The tree spirit begs to be released, in exchange for saving the orphans from the clutches of the Crones. Geralt completes the ritual and return to the Crones, who admit to trying to kill Ciri. Learning little Geralt vows to return and finish them, just then Gran's hands burn as punishment by the Crones, proving she is in fact Anna, the Baron's wife. Baron tells Geralt how Ciri killed a basilisk and had to depart, since The Hunt will track her magic. The Baron and Geralt depart to rescue Anna and learn Downwarren villagers went mad and killed each other, the influence of the released tree spirit. After ariving they found Tamara is also there, and the Crones have turned Anna into a waterhag. Geralt manages to undo the curse, but Anna doesn't survive, but gets to say goodbye. Tamara crying, the Baron dejected, leaves for Crow's Perch, when Geralt returns, he finds the Baron took his own life. Or was that really what happened to the Baron and his family? Originally streamed on 20th October 2026 Ladies of the Woods music got copyrighted, so it's replaced. The sound effects when the ealdorman cuts his ear off apparently are a copyrighted song (yeah okay), so it's muted.
