CELEBRATION OF 80th INDEPENDENCE DAY AT PM SHRI JNV MUNDALI CUTTACK ODISHA

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with immense patriotic fervour at PM SHRI Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mundali, Cuttack, under the gracious presence of our Chief Guest and Principal, Smt. Sandhya Mohanty, and Vice Principal, Mr. D.K. Behera. The celebration began with a magnificent March Past by the NCC Platoon, Bharat Scouts & Guides Maharana Pratap Troop, and the four proud houses—Aravali, Nilgiri, Shiwalik and Udaigiri—showcasing discipline, unity and patriotism. Before the flag hoisting, the gathering commemorated 150 Years of Vande Mataram, adding a deeply patriotic touch to the occasion. The Tricolour was then proudly hoisted by our Principal, followed by the National Anthem. The celebration continued with eye-catching patriotic dances, cultural performances and artistic presentations by our talented students. The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Nishat Anwar (PGT English), Mrs. P.P. Dora (TGT English), Mr. P.K. Dora (PET Male), Mrs. P. Padihari (PET Female), and Mr. Vikram Senapati (TGT Art), with the wholehearted efforts of all teachers, students and staff. The programme was beautifully anchored by Master Rudra Narayan Sahoo and Kumari Prangya Paramita Khuntia. A special tribute was extended to our senior-most teacher, Mr. M.K. Badatiya, as this marked his last Independence Day in his remarkable 32-year Navodaya career.
