Just telling the truth about what the Ram Tungsten ownership experience has been like.
Mostly a rental car story.
Sorry I don't have a sweet avatar to add to my thumbnail.
UPDATE: Posted this on 8/9/26. They called me on 8/11/26 to say Ram was ready. Video update to be provided in near future.
UPDATE2: Sorry follow up video sound was bad. Traded in on 8/15/26 after picking up on 8/11 and putting a few more miles on it. In the end I lost 8k over 3 months putting 1,500 miles on the truck.
What I learned:
Ram (from 2 dealership contacts) rarely steps in on a used vehicle. Ram Certified is really the responsibility of the dealership to maintain. Since the dealer I needed to step up the most screwed me, it is what it is. Don't by a Ram Certified unless you have a relationship with the dealer.
Traded in the Ram for a new Genesis G80 (a brand I've had really good luck with), and traded my wife's Bronco in for a new Land Rover Defender for a better tow rating. I'm buying a trailer and scrapping the thought of owning a full size truck. Punchline on trading in a electrical buggy Ram for a new Defender practically writes itself! Did lease that as if it's a nightmare can just turn it in. If it's not (from my research it's probably fine), will buy it out as the wife loves it.
