We drove 6 hours from NYC to hit Peters Mill Run — Virginia's Jeep Badge of Honor trail — and earn our very first Badge of Honor. Was it worth every mile? Watch to find out.
We're a father-son overlanding duo from New York City. No trails nearby? No problem — we drive until we find them. Peters Mill Run in George Washington National Forest is one of Jeep's official Badge of Honor trails, and after hearing about it for years, we finally aired down and went for it.
In this video, we take our 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL through mud puddles, rocky climbs, a wooden bridge crossing, and some seriously beautiful mountain terrain — all captured with drone footage that'll make you want to pack your bags. We air down to 18 PSI at the trailhead, let Ian run point as co-pilot and cameraman, and see how Peters Mill Run measures up for an NYC-based crew making the trip on a day off.
If you're a Jeep overlander wondering whether Peters Mill Run is worth the drive — especially from a city — this video gives you the real, unfiltered experience.
