So, I thought, "What better way to use them than to practice? What better way to practice than to do a master study?" That is what I am doing. I chose to paint #tonalist master, #George Inness' 'Morning'. I was able to apply some of the techniques that we already employ. Things like adding texture with our brush and using a towel to bland and get some texture. Overall, I think it was a good exploration. I encourage you to find a master that you enjoy and try and emulate their work. What painter would you like to see me emulate next?
