In this Range Report, I take a look at one of Ruger's classic P-Series pistols from the 1990s, the Ruger P95DC. Introduced in 1996, the P95 was the first pistol in the P-Series to feature a polymer frame, combining Ruger's reputation for durability with a lighter, more modern design. The "DC" designation stands for Decocker, meaning this model uses a decocking lever without a manual safety.
In this video, I discuss the P95DC's history, design, ergonomics, reliability, accuracy, and overall shooting experience. While it may not have the refined appearance of many modern handguns, the P95 has earned a reputation for being rugged, dependable, and surprisingly comfortable to shoot. Does this classic 9mm still hold up against today's pistols, and is it worth considering on the used market? I share my thoughts and experiences after spending time with this firearm on the range.
This video documents my personal thoughts, opinions and experiences with this firearm. Yours may vary.
