Abandoned Harley Building - Christchurch

Abandoned after the Christchurch earthquake, the Harley building was for many years a hub for dentists, lawyers etc, my own childhood dentist, Clifford Minty, operated from this building. Exploring damaged and abandoned buildings can be dangerous and illegal, so explore at your own risk. Canterbury Police are asking members of the public not to enter abandoned and derelict buildings with the safety for those exploring these locations unknown, entering these locations carries serious risk and danger not only to those exploring, but also to emergency service personnel in the instance something does go wrong. If found on private property, a person can be served a trespass notice if the landowner chooses to do so. This can include ‘abandoned’ buildings as the buildings and/or land are owned.
