Francis Valentine Dinhaupt, aka Francesco "Frank" Valentino was an American baritone and fixture at the Met for 21 seasons, during which he never missed a scheduled performance. Interestingly, this performance, led by Toscanini, was part of radio broadcast that was interrupted by the news of Mussolini's downfall. .....................................
