Town of Platteville

The Town of Platteville, population 2620, is located along U. S. Highway 85, midway between Greeley and the Metro Denver area. Incorporated January 1, 1887, the town is named for its proximity to the Platte River. Each year on the third weekend in August the community celebrates its agricultural heritage at Harvest Daze, a family-oriented festival featuring a parade, volleyball and horseshoes, music, food and FUN for the whole family.
