Bridging the gap between land, air, and sea through advanced geospatial technology.
Frontier Precision partnered with the Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) Harbors Division to demonstrate how integrated geospatial technologies can transform harbor infrastructure inspections, asset management, and long-term planning.
Working alongside HDOT Harbors, our team deployed a comprehensive suite of technologies to capture critical infrastructure data above, below, and along the waterline, demonstrating how multiple datasets can contribute to a unified digital twin of complex maritime environments.
Technologies featured in this project:
• Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS):
Aerial LiDAR, Photogrammetry, and Infrastructure Inspections
• Uncrewed Surface Vessels (USV):
Hydrographic Surveying and Bathymetric Mapping
• Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV):
Underwater and Under-deck Structural Inspections
• Terrestrial & Mobile LiDAR:
High-resolution 3D Mapping of Waterfront Infrastructure
• Integrated Digital Twin:
Bringing Multiple Geospatial Datasets Together for Improved Visualization, Analysis, and Asset Management
The objective was to demonstrate a safer, more efficient, and repeatable approach to collecting actionable infrastructure data while reducing inspection gaps in challenging maritime environments.
A special thank you to the HDOT Harbors Division, our technology partners, and the Frontier Precision team for making this collaborative effort possible.
