Blending the atmosphere of 1970s progressive folk with acoustic guitars, mournful fiddle, flute, Mellotron, analog keyboards and cinematic arrangements, The Fields That Would Not Feed Us tells a story of hunger, loss, displacement, emigration and remembrance. Ten songs form one continuous journey — from the last green fields and the first signs of the failed harvest, through the workhouses and empty homes, to the ships leaving Cork and the graves beneath the rain. This is music about people, memory and a landscape that never forgot.
