First Humankind 2 Gameplay... (and you don't have to change culture anymore)

Humankind 2 Gameplay is here! Welcome to my full gameplay breakdown of Amplitude's new 4X historical civilization builder! First Tales, History vs Sandbox mode, population-built production, perishable resources like water, climate and biome shifts hitting individual cities, the new Adaptation system, rebuilt culture trees with mutually exclusive capstones, an Acculturation mechanic that reeks of syncretism... and sticking with one culture finally looks viable (unlike Transcend in the first game). So many new gameplay features to ponder over, and a lot more we don't know about (e.g. leaders, diplomacy, combat, trade, etc.). Humankind 2 is Amplitude Studios' sequel to Humankind (2021), and follows the release of Endless Legend 2 (which released into v1.0 in 2026). Humankind 2's release date is sometime 2027.
