Smt.Kuntala Ray chose slide guitar as her passion rather late in her life.Her sincerity and perseverence impelled her Guru late Pandit Soumitra Lahiri, disciple of Pandit Manilal Nag, to accept her as one of his closest disciples.She is progressing steadily in her musical pursuit, now under the guidance of Smt.Mita Nag, since the sad and sudden demise of her guru. With her on the tabla is Sri Avijit Kashtha.
