LYRICS Seven angels stood before Him, and each was given a horn Then another angel at the altar, with a censer made of gold And he offered up much incense with the prayers of all the saints And the smoke went up to God, every prayer the faithful told Then he filled it with the altar fire and threw it down below And the thunder rolled, the lightning flashed, the earth shook to and fro Seven trumpets, seven angels Lift the horn and blow Every note a wake-up call For a world that needs to know Seven trumpets, seven angels Till the seventh one is blown And every kingdom of this world Belongs to Christ alone First trumpet, hail and fire, and a third of the forests burned Second, like a burning mountain, and a third part of the sea was turned Third, a star named Wormwood fell, and bitter waters filled the springs Fourth, a third of sun and moon and stars went dark on everything Then an eagle flying overhead cried, "Woe!" across the sky And I held my breath and wondered, but I kept my eyes up high Seven trumpets, seven angels Lift the horn and blow Every note a wake-up call For a world that needs to know Seven trumpets, seven angels Till the seventh one is blown And every kingdom of this world Belongs to Christ alone Fifth trumpet, there's a key, a bottomless pit, a smoke that hid the sun Locusts came, but they were told, "Don't touch the green, don't touch the sealed ones" Sixth trumpet, four angels loosed beside the great Euphrates' flow Still the people wouldn't turn from idols made of stone and gold Every trumpet was a mercy, every warning was a call "Turn around, come home," but some refused to turn at all Seven trumpets, seven angels Lift the horn and blow Every note a wake-up call For a world that needs to know Seven trumpets, seven angels Till the seventh one is blown And every kingdom of this world Belongs to Christ alone Two witnesses in sackcloth, like two lampstands burning bright They told the truth for days on end, they stood for what was right And when they fell, the world threw parties, thinking it had won But after three and a half days, the breath of life from God had come And they stood up on their feet, and heard the call, "Come up here" And they rose up in a cloud, while their enemies watched in fear Then a mighty angel came down wrapped in cloud, a rainbow on his head With a face just like the sun, a little scroll held open wide One foot on the sea, one on the land, he raised his hand and said By the One who lives forever, "No delay," he testified "When the seventh angel sounds, God's mystery will be complete" And I ate the little scroll, and it was bitter after sweet Then the seventh angel sounded And the heavens shouted loud "The kingdoms of this world are become The kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ And He shall reign forever and ever" And the elders fell, and the temple opened wide And there it was, the ark of His covenant inside Seven trumpets, seven angels Lift the horn and blow Every note a wake-up call For a world that needs to know Seven trumpets, seven angels Now the seventh one is blown And every kingdom of this world Belongs to Christ alone Seven trumpets, seven angels Lift the horn and blow Every note a wake-up call For a world that needs to know Seven trumpets, seven angels Now the seventh one is blown And every kingdom of this world Belongs to Christ alone Forever and ever He shall reign Christ alone #Praisely #ChristianJazz #GospelJazz #Worship #BookOfRevelation #ChristianMusic #LyricVideo #AllThingsNew
