Japan lures!

I'm back! I've been celebrating Wifey's 70th birthday for the last two weeks in Japan! And as Japan is the 'land of tackle', I just had to check out a few shops to see what all the fuss was about. Or in other words, Wifey was kind enough to put up with me while I sniffed out various metals, divers, plastics and other stuffs while she waited. As much as I could have spent the entire holiday in fishing tackle shops, I tried to be a good Husby and fitted tackle shop visits in when and where I could without breaking up the sight-seeing plans too much. :) Saying that, I still managed to go to a few tacklo's, some better and bigger than others. Bun Bun tackle in Osaka was particularly awesome, like walking into a David Jones or Myer but just fishing tackle! Rows and rows of lures of all types, it needed a lot more time than I could give. The following video is just a small sample of what I picked up. A few lures I bought you're now able to purchase in Aus', but I grabbed them anyway as in general the prices in Japan are a fair bit cheaper. I also managed to find a few lures/items which aren't available or very hard to find in Australia. I had a list of things I wanted, but even some things on the list I couldn't find anywhere in the time I had. I visited a Tackle Berry store which you may know is a secondhand tackle chain and it was great, the only problem all the lures are stacked on top of each other in plain bags and you need hours and hours going thru every rack to find what you want, time which again I didn't have. It was a fabulous holiday though and an amazing place - can't wait to go back again soon!
