REAR DIFFERENTIAL FLUID CHANGE - BMW 530i E60

This is a short DIY tutorial on how to change the fluid in the rear differential of your BMW E60 5 series. Note, that you need a specific fluid for your particular differential. Look it up in your owners manual or online. For example, my "simple" diff takes 75W-90 GL5 fluid, but the limited slip diff needs 75W-140. So it actually matters what you put in. I would stick with trusted manufacturers. BMW says the fluid lasts a lifetime of the car, but you should change it at lease every 50K km. The good thing about this job is, that you don´t need to jack the car up. It is doable with the car on the ground. It all takes about an hour. Please note, I am not a professional.
