🌧️ Rainy Night in a Cliffside Ryokan | Rain Sounds & Thunder for Sleep, Relax & Study

It is late, and the rain has not let up. You are sitting at one end of a futon in a cliffside ryokan room, tatami underfoot, dark beams overhead, a tall paper lantern glowing against the plaster wall and three candles burning in their jars on a low tray beside it. Beyond the glass wall the red maples on the slope just below the cliff are bowed and shining, the mist-filled mountains fall away ridge behind ridge, and far off on the opposite ridge a timber inn keeps three windows lit. On the low table there is a cast iron teapot, a small cup of tea and a book left open. A ginger tabby is curled on the blanket beside you, fast asleep, and the thunder is a long way off behind the mountains. Perfect for: • Deep, restful sleep • Easing an anxious night • Relaxing and slowing down • Reading • Studying and quiet focus What you'll hear: 🌧️ Rain on window glass, deep and close, the drops striking the pane and running down it, heard from inside the warm room 🌧️ Light rain underneath it, darker and steadier, a fine grain of countless small impacts carrying on out over the valley and reaching you through the walls 🌩️ Thunder from behind the mountain ridges, lower and longer, rolling evenly under the rain 🌩️ Distant thunder coming up out of the valley, seven or eight steady seconds of it, clearly heard over the rain and never a sharp crack No music in this one. Three hours of rain sounds and thunder, nothing else. Ads are sparse here, so the night stays quiet once you have settled in. If you are awake at an hour you did not choose, stay a while. The lanterns are lit and the cat is not going anywhere. Which do you drift off to faster, the rain on the glass or the thunder rolling down the valley? @warmindoors https://warmindoors.com #rainsounds #rainonwindow #deepsleep #cozyautumn #thundersounds #rainyday #relaxingsounds #sleepsounds #studyambience #ambience
