Deep Depression Landfall in 2 Hours? | Kalingapatnam Near Coast | Heavy Rain Alert The deep depression over the Bay of Bengal is approaching the North Andhra Pradesh–South Odisha coast, with the latest weather update indicating that it is likely to cross near Kalingapatnam. The system is expected to move inland after crossing the coast, with its influence extending towards southern Odisha and adjoining areas. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected across parts of South Odisha, including Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur and Malkangiri. According to the latest IMD bulletin, the deep depression was located around 60 km southeast of Kalingapatnam in the afternoon and was expected to cross the coast near Kalingapatnam by the night of September 23.
