I Needed ONE More Gold Ring… Then This Happened

I started this hunt with 24 gold rings for the year and one mission: FIND NUMBER 25! 🏆💍 The beach was looking incredible — LOW sand, heavy erosion, black sand showing, and targets everywhere. I teamed up with Philip the Nox, and almost immediately we started pulling jewelry, old buttons, fishing weights, silver, rings and some seriously interesting pieces of history. Philip struck first with an incredible ring, and later we met Carlos from Metal Detecting the Rockaways, who joined the hunt and pulled some great finds of his own. Meanwhile, I kept digging nickel signals, fishing weights and anything that had even the slightest chance of being gold. Then I finally hit something VERY good — gold and diamonds! Unfortunately…it wasn’t a ring. The search for #25 continued. And then, after a massive amount of digging… 💍 GOLD RING #25 WAS FINALLY IN THE SCOOP! This hunt is also a perfect example of why understanding beach erosion matters. Black sand, exposed shell layers, cuts in the beach and concentrations of heavy targets can all be clues that you’re hunting the right part of the beach.
