Uvalde school shooting: Mayor says information on investigation has been withheld from city

Uvalde, Texas mayor Don McLaughlin said during a July 12, 2022 city council meeting that the city has not been able to interview police officers who responded to Robb Elementary during a mass shooting that left 19 students and two teachers dead. McLaughlin also said that he was promised to be briefed daily by the Department of Public Safety and Texas Rangers regarding the event, but that information has not been shared with him. "We have got none. We have gotten not one call from anybody," McLaughlin said.
