Emily Andrews - flute (www.emilyandrewsflute.com) Francisco Correa - guitar (www.franciscocorreaguitar.com) This is the flute and guitar arrangement of Poulenc's humorous pieces called Mouvements Perpetuals, written originally for piano in 1918. Poulenc is very specific about the colours and moods he wants you to create, but asking often for "unmusical" playing, with sudden dynamic and melodic changes (rather than accelerandi and crescendi for instance), and with instructions like "gris" (grey), or "indifferent", or "sans nuances" (without inflection). I feel he is making an ironic comment on the highly nuanced French music of the time... (taking the mickey). Comments welcome. Recorded live at the Alexander Centre in Faversham on 12th July 2016
