In 1901, divers off a small Greek island pulled up a lump of corroded bronze. It turned out to be the Antikythera mechanism, a geared device that modelled astronomical cycles and predicted eclipses, built around the second or first century BCE. Nobody has found a second one.
This video goes through the ancient puzzles that are still open because the evidence is incomplete, not because nobody is clever enough. How the Great Pyramid of Giza was built, why the Nazca Lines are only fully visible from the air, the Voynich Manuscript nobody can read, the one-of-a-kind Phaistos Disc from Crete, and the Indus Valley script that is still undeciphered after nearly a century of work.
Then Stonehenge, where we know more than people think, and the Library of Alexandria, which probably did not burn down in one afternoon. Its books were lost slowly, over centuries.
What this is not: an aliens video. Every mystery here has a human answer; we just don't have all of it yet.
