OPERATION TYPHOON - THE KINGDOM AIRSOFT 22/08/26

📍 The Kingdom, Cheadle, WEST MIDLANDS 📅 22 August 2026 Operation Typhoon - a NATO response force to locate a downed UAV and retrieve the data drive retaining vital intelligence on Eastern Bloc and Chinese military in the region. I was the LMG/SAW gunner of 1 Section (Delta) in the OpFor platoon of the NATO response force. This was a 24 hour milsim event. The primary objective was to retrieve the data drive from the downed UAV once we knew it's location. From moment of deployment into hostile territory, we had to perform a sweep of the area to find intelligence on the UAV crash. Secondary objectives comprised of capturing key buildings and detain enemy troops or HVTs for intel. In between that, opportunities to gain the upper hand were left to the decision making of the platoon commander or in some cases the section IC. This was a brilliant milsim put on by Op-Tac events and it was both great fun and a pleasure to play amongst the others who took part. Great teamwork and tactics! In a total of 19-20 hours of footage, I managed to create this 44 minute video capturing key moments or that were just good fun! Op Typhoon will be recommencing in February 2027 for a secondary deployment.
