The ONLY Way to Fix Spider-Man Comics

SUBSCRIBE TO LADDING AROUND:    • Blind Soda Taste Test… We Regret This   JOIN OUR PATREON :   / comiclads   In this week with the Comic Lads, we're diving into the current state of Spider-Man comics, and how MARVEL can actually turn their most popular hero around for fans around the world. With Joe Kelly's new jumping on point for Spider-Man fans, we all hoped that the relaunch of our favourite web head was going in the right direction. Almost a year later, Mary Jane is Venom, Peter Parker is in space fighting (and getting intimate) with aliens, Norman Osborn is Spider-Man, and the whole mythos is in a constant state of confusion. Fans are still holding out hope for future projects like the MCU's Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man Season 2, & Insomniac's future Spidey games, but comic fans are left in a constant state of flux & uncertainty. Today, we're sorting through the mess, to see just what went WRONG with Spider-Man comics, and how MARVEL Comics can actually reboot the character and change up the public perception of our favourite wall-crawler. With Marvel's fresh new take, Ultimate Spider-Man (by Jonathan Hickman) ending, we need a new jumping on point for mainline Spider-Man, and that's what we're pitching in this episode.
