This dark ride REMINDS ME so much of DISNEYLAND'S It's a Small World!

During my last visit to Efteling, riding Carnaval Festival, it was impossible not to notice the huge resemblance to the Disney classic. The boat transit system, the journey through world cultures, the caricatured characters, and above all, an endlessly catchy soundtrack that gets stuck in your head for days! But why does such a similar attraction even exist? The answer goes back to 1984: Efteling really wanted its own version of the Disney hit, but decided to hand the design over to Joop Geesink, a famous Dutch filmmaker and puppet creator. Geesink took the global journey concept and reinterpreted it with a unique, festive visual style packed with distinctly Dutch caricatured humor. What do you think?
