From Bermuda to Lusso - the adventure continues

Our long-awaited story of changing from our Buccaneer Bermuda to “Fe”, our new Coachman Lusso IV, is finally here! 😎♿️ During filming, we did it in the morning, which meant I was able to be on my feet. Although, I did make good use of the worktops and caravan walls to get around anything for a bit of extra support! 😂 A huge thank you to Coachman for allowing CoachBuilt to become a supplier for us, enabling us to buy “Fe” before all the accessibility changes were made. And a massive thank you to CoachBuilt. The craftsmanship is outstanding, and we absolutely love what you have done for us. The changes mean we can continue our caravan adventures for many years to come. And, as my mobility changes, further adaptations including a hoist if needed, can be added in the future. I’m a great believer in carrying on for as long as you can. Being disabled doesn’t mean your caravan or home has to look like a hospital ward! With the right people, accessibility can be practical and beautiful. My Omni wheelchair even has a fabulous little trick: it allows me to enter “Fe” without a ramp. Very cool! 😎 And when the time comes that I need one, a ramp can be fitted and the Omni will manage it with ease. Thank you to Conquering Horizons for helping make caravan life so special with my wheelchair. We also wanted to bring over one of our favourite features from the Bermuda, the media wall. CoachBuilt made our wish come true, and what a job they have done! As we no longer have windows on the door side of “Fe”, the media wall really makes her stand out. It looks as though it came from the Coachman factory like this originally. Outstanding is an understatement! Making “Fe” accessible hasn’t meant we have had to compromise on style, comfort or the things we love. And no matter how many changes we make, “Fe” will always be our little fire extinguisher — helping us put out any obstacles that come our way! 🔥🧯♿️💗
