9 August 2026 - Titus 3:9-11- Protecting the Church Jesus Died For

Protecting the Church Jesus Died For | Titus 3:9–11 Not every battle is worth fighting. Some arguments distract us from the Gospel, drain our energy, and divide God’s people. Other battles involve truths and relationships worth protecting. So how do we know the difference? In Titus 3, Paul shows us how Christians can avoid foolish controversy, become Gospel peacemakers, and treasure the church Jesus gave His life for. This Week’s Message *1️⃣ The Battles to Avoid* (v.9) Not every controversy deserves our attention. God calls us away from arguments that are unprofitable and vain. *2️⃣ The Battles to Fight* (vv.10–11) Biblical peace is not passivity. There are times when the truth, health, and unity of Christ’s church must be courageously protected. *3️⃣ Treasure Christ’s Church* (Acts 20:28) The church belongs to Jesus. He purchased it with His own blood — and what Christ treasures, we should treasure too. What Can We Learn? • *Duty:* Fight the right battles • *Person:* Be a Gospel peacemaker • *Goal:* Treasure what Jesus treasures The church is made up of imperfect people, but it belongs to a perfect Saviour. Jesus loves His church. Jesus died for His church. Jesus is building His church. May we be people who love truth, pursue peace, protect unity, and treasure the people Christ died to save. 💬 *Join us live and let us know where you’re watching from.
