When Windu EXPELLED His Own Padawan From the Jedi Order

Mace Windu was one of the most powerful and respected Jedi Masters in Star Wars history, but his strict interpretation of the Jedi Code sometimes led him to make seemingly cruel decisions. In one obscure Star Wars Infinities story, Mace Windu subjected a young Padawan to a harsh test that ultimately resulted in the student being expelled from the Jedi Order. But why was Windu so unforgiving, and what did he sense within the young apprentice that convinced him such drastic action was necessary? Today, we explore this forgotten piece of Star Wars lore, the Jedi Order’s fear of the dark side, and what this controversial decision reveals about Mace Windu’s philosophy, his treatment of Anakin Skywalker, and the darker realities of Jedi training.
