Step back into the 1990s at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) with a personal photo archive from my time working on the ramp for Canadian Airlines International! 🇨🇦✈️ Starting on the YVR ramp in April 1991, I captured these original photos of the classic widebody and narrowbody fleet during a defining era in Canadian aviation history. Featured Aircraft in this Video: Boeing 747-400: Tail 881 (named after Wardair founder Max Ward), employee preview event, plus aircraft #882 landing and taxiing on the ramp at YVR McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30ER: Memories of pushing back from YVR's old Gate 30, flights to Honolulu and Sydney, the 1996 "Employee Signature Plane," and the 1995 Runway 26L incident. Boeing 767-300ER: The transcontinental and European workhorse—featuring my photo that won the cover of the 1994 Canadian Airlines calendar! Boeing 737: The backbone of Canadian's domestic and transborder network. Did you work for or fly with Canadian Airlines, CP Air, Wardair, Pacific Western, or Eastern Provincial back in the day?
