Magnus Carlsen is a Norwegian chess grandmaster and one of the greatest chess players of all time. A five-time World Chess Champion, multiple-time World Rapid Chess Champion and World Blitz Chess Champion, Magnus has dominated classical chess, rapid chess, blitz chess, speed chess and online chess against many of the strongest grandmasters in the world.
Carlsen became a chess grandmaster at just 13 years old and quickly emerged as one of the biggest talents in chess history. In 2013, Magnus Carlsen defeated Viswanathan Anand to become World Chess Champion. He went on to successfully defend the classical World Chess Championship multiple times while establishing himself at the top of elite chess.
Magnus Carlsen achieved a peak FIDE chess rating of 2882, the highest classical rating ever recorded.
