🌱 FROM SKILLS TO SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOODS 🧵💚 A Success Story from Goodwill Thriving Roots What began as a tailoring training programme has now grown into a meaningful livelihood opportunity for five women from the Goodwill Thriving Roots community. After completing their tailoring training, the first batch of students took a courageous step forward by starting their own small production unit at the Goodwill Thriving Roots premises. Today, five women are working together to produce eco-friendly bags made from jute and biodegradable plastic materials. Their journey is a wonderful example of how skills, teamwork and determination can create opportunities for sustainable livelihoods. The production unit is not just about making bags—it is about creating confidence, dignity and income-generating opportunities for women. Their products are already receiving encouragement from the local community. Every day, two or three people visit the Thriving Roots office at KC Patti to purchase their products. Each purchase is a small step that supports these women and strengthens their new livelihood initiative. 🌿 A skill learned. 🤝 A team formed. 👜 A product created. 💚 A livelihood beginning. We are proud of these five women for taking this initiative forward and transforming the skills they learned into a practical livelihood opportunity. 👏 Wishing them all the very best as they continue to grow this initiative, reach more customers and build a sustainable future together.
