This week’s delivery vlog shift was an absolute fast-moving blur, packed with aggressive hack and slash shortcuts and just bloody good fun! Riding hardtail MTB POV through Dorset, I took on a relentless wave of double deliveries for LocoLime, Noodle Bar, and Co-op. By the time I hit that final brutal hill through the woods to get home before lights out, I really had to ask myself: did I work too hard and burn the candle at both ends? Welcome back to RIPPER RECON! It was one order after another today, pushing the limits of the gig economy on a bike. Despite dealing with the usual map and a frustrating new app re-design issues, nothing was going to stop the momentum. I delivered to a customer who was previously raging but turned out to be as nice as pie this time around! Beyond the fast-paced hustle of Deliveroo and UberEats, this session was an incredible PALS (Positive Active Lifestyle) workout and massive for my IMH (Improved Mental Health). Proving that a 60s+ 80s BMX vet can still rip the streets, conquer that final brutal hill without having to get off and walk and keep that energy going.
