THINGS WE ARE TOO EMBARRASSED TO ADMIT IN OUR 20s 🇿🇲 | Ticheze: After 20
Let's be honest, guys… are we really doing as well as we make people believe? 😂😭
In Zambia, being in your 20s can come with a lot of pressure. You're expected to find a job, make money, help out at home, build relationships, and somehow have your life together. Meanwhile, you're still trying to figure out what you want to do with your life.
Some of us are educated but still looking for jobs. Some are broke but afraid to tell our friends. Some feel pressured when they see their age mates buying cars, getting married, starting businesses, or travelling. Others are tired of being asked, “So, what are you doing with your life?” every time they meet relatives. 😅
And sometimes, we pretend everything is fine because we're afraid people will judge us if we admit we're struggling.
In this episode of Ticheze: After 20, we're having an honest conversation about the things young Zambians experience in their 20s but are often too embarrassed to say out loud — money struggles, career pressure, relationships, jealousy, loneliness, and the fear of falling behind.
No pretending. No judging. Just real conversations about the realities of growing up in Zambia.
💬 Let's talk! What's one thing young people in Zambia are struggling with but rarely admit openly?
