This song was never meant to be a goodbye. More than two weeks of talking and messages till late nights and little pieces of her that somehow stayed with me. Pink was her color. Lilies were her flower. She loved tinned pineapple. She crocheted. She missed her hamster more than she let on. She called me honey bun once and i almost forgot how to breathe. I fell for the person behind the screen long before i ever saw her face and when she finally walked in that day in red dress everything i had planned to say just disappeared. I gave her lilies and watching her smile my mind went completely blank. I had a thousand things i wanted to tell her but i said enough but not quite enough. I thought that day was the start of something. I did not know it would be the last time we truly spoke.
