My Thoughts On The Song/Chart: This was a personal challenge i decided to do regarding The Beatles Rock Band. I've always considered doing 'Full Album" runs of some of The Beatles material, i wanted to challenge myself and Full Combo all of the songs in row with no stopping outside the slight loading times between tracks. Unlike the career mode Chapter Challenges, there is no clear indication that the next song is part of a full playlist run aside from the loading times which list which song you are on and the final song for some reason, doesn't list the song placement either. For what it's worth, there is only four short songs, and only the first and last song have something somewhat difficult on my role at least in regards to my current skill level. Long Tall Sally has the first guitar solo with the awkward grace like chord patterns starting at 0:48. The second guitar solo starts to kind of get awkward at 1:32 with the random force strums. I Call Your Name and Slow Down are pretty easy although this video was taken on my 2nd run. I choked during the Solo to Slow Down ironically. Matchbox is easily the biggest challenge of the set especially due to being the final track. The entire main swing riff can be a mindfuck especially if you don't play with Breakneck Speed like i do, i had some close calls during certain parts even i admit. The Guitar Solo is a bit easier but can still trip you up if you aren't paying close attention. I previously tried playing through "Beatles For Sale" earlier this week and got wrecked during the outro to "Honey Don't". I still will try to attempt that album challenge one day alongside "Rubber Soul" which are easily in my current skill level regarding hitting the entirety of them in one go. And yes i still plan on getting the final chapter challenge for the rooftop done soon, I Me Mine is very annoying especially since it's the third to last song in the set. The EP includes three cover versions—the title track, "Slow Down" and "Matchbox"—as well as one Lennon-McCartney original, "I Call Your Name", a song originally given to Billy J. Kramer and his backing band, The Dakotas. Kramer had released the song as the B-side of another Lennon-McCartney song, "Bad to Me", which reached number 1 in the UK and number 9 in the US. In 1988, all four of the songs from the EP were included on the compilation album Past Masters, Volume One. The title track was the final song used close out their final show at San Francisco's Candlestick Park on August 29, 1966. There exists a heavily circulated abridged version in circulation, but it only covers part of the song. As of 2026, The final moments of The Beatles final Paid Performance is considered lost media.
