In this video, I’m putting my Tesla through an automatic car wash and showing you exactly what I do before going in — including Car Wash Mode and putting the vehicle in Neutral/Free Roll. If you have a newer Tesla and you’ve been nervous about damaging the paint, hopefully this video gives you a little peace of mind. Just remember, not all car washes are created equal. I’ll show you the process from start to finish and share my experience going through the wash with my 2026 Tesla Model Y Premium AWD. Would you take your Tesla through a car wash?
