Story start
Yogesh, 30: Shouting // Surekha...what is this behavior, friend? Anika's school bus is about to arrive.
Surekha, 30: Sleepily, muttering // What is it, friend? Please send her to school, I'm feeling very sleepy.
Yogesh, 30: Shouting // Are you crazy? Get up quickly. I've got her ready, at least make her lunch.
Surekha, 30: Drowsing // Yes, yes, I'll get up right away. Let me sleep for 10 more minutes.
Narration - After Yogesh's repeated shouting, Surekha wakes up at 9 o'clock and makes Maggi for Anika.
Yogesh, 30: (angrily closing the lunchbox) // Surekha, what is this? Same Maggi every day? Please consider the child's health. Sometimes paratha, sometimes sabji... at least make something decent.
Surekha 30: (combing her hair and yawning) // Oh, Yogesh, don't rush into lectures this early in the morning. I'm alone here, I have to do all the work. Plus, I slept late last night. I have to eat Maggi anyway, it fills my stomach, doesn't it?
Yogesh 30: (irritated) // Hey, friend, someone should learn how to make excuses from you. Anyway, I have to drop Anika off at the school bus and then get ready for work. You should at least make something decent for lunch.
Surekha 30: (casually) // Yes, I'll see if I have time. Otherwise, we'll order pasta or sandwiches from outside. I'm alone to do all the housework.
Narration - While Surekha's kitchen was filled with irritability and laziness, Yamini's house was filled with joy. As soon as 6 a.m. struck, the whole house was bustling with activity.
Yamini 30: (humming in the kitchen and frying puris) // Mummy ji, here's hot tea. And Papa ji's kadha is ready too.
Roshni ji 50: (patting Yamini's head) // Long live daughter-in-law. Come, I'll bake these puris. You go get Yash ready and put Himanshu's breakfast on the table.
Yamini 30: (smiling) // Oh no, Mummy ji, just sit. Riya and Mini have chopped the vegetables. Just give us five more minutes and all the food will be ready.
Mahendra Pratap 60: (laughing) // Wow, brother! There's a wonderful aroma coming from the kitchen today. It seems something special has been cooked today.
Himanshu 30: (coming ready) // Yes, Papa, Yamini has made everyone's favorite halwa and chana today.
Narration - The smell of puja bells and halwa coming from Yamini's house reaches Surekha's house. Yogesh stands on his balcony, tying his tie and taking a deep breath.
Yogesh 30: (murmuring) // Wow! What a fragrance. It's like Diwali every day at the neighbors' house. I wish we could also have such fresh and loving food.
