The Return of 3013

2 Down 21 To Go During November 2018 NIR 3000 Class DMU 3013 returned to service after being out of service for over 2 years. On Thursday 4th February 2016 3013 was involved in a accident at Knockmore just south of Lisburn trailer 3413 suffered the worst damage which resulted in the trailer being transferred by road to Adelaide Depot it later ended up being taken to England for repairs while trailers 3313 & 3513 only suffered minor damage and they were moved to York Road by rail for repairs. In 2018 3413 returned to NIR from England and was reunited with the rest of the set. The set received a full refurbishment before being tested and returned to service in November 2018. In this video we see the repaired and refurbished set at Great Victoria Street & Belfast Central (Working with 3023) We also take a trip on 3013 along the lovely coastal section between Whitehead & Carrickfergus. At the start of the video we take a walk through the interior of 3413 which was the damaged trailer. 3013 Is the 2nd refurbished 3000 to enter service.
