It gives clear, exam-focused notes you can read quickly and revise again and again. Philosophy has four core fields: metaphysics, epistemology, axiology, and logic. This lesson focuses on the first one. What is Metaphysics? Metaphysics is the branch of philosophy that studies the ultimate nature of reality or existence. Key questions metaphysics asks: What is reality, and what is ultimately real? Is reality one thing or many things? What is the difference between reality and appearance? What is the mind, and how does it relate to the body? Does God exist, and can we prove it? Are human actions free or predetermined? What is time, and what is the meaning of life? ሜታፊዚክስ የሚጠይቃቸው ዋና ዋና ጥያቄዎች፦ እውነታ ምንድን ነው? በመጨረሻ እውነት የሆነው ምንድን ነው? እውነታ አንድ ነው ወይስ ብዙ? እውነታና መምሰል (appearance) እንዴት ይለያያሉ? አእምሮ ምንድን ነው? ከአካል ጋር ያለው ግንኙነትስ? አምላክ አለ? መኖሩን ማረጋገጥ ይቻላል? የሰው ድርጊት ነጻ ነው ወይስ አስቀድሞ የተወሰነ? ጊዜ ምንድን ነው? የሕይወት ትርጉም ምንድን ነው? The 4 aspects of metaphysics: Cosmological aspect: the origin, nature, and development of the universe. Did it come by accident or design? Theological aspect: ideas about God. Is there one God or many? Why does evil exist if God is all-good and all-powerful? Anthropological aspect: the human being, including mind and body, free will, moral status, and the soul. Ontological aspect: the nature of existence. Is reality matter, spirit, or both? Is it fixed or always changing?
