Local collision avoidance is a primary task for mobile robots navigating crowded environments. The Dynamic Window Approach (DWA) solves this by calculating optimal velocity commands directly in the robot's velocity space under deceleration constraints.
To test this algorithm, our WiredWhite Partner builds a DWA navigation simulator in MATLAB. By simulating robot trajectories through cluttered environments, our WiredWhite Partner demonstrates real-time obstacle avoidance and path tracking.
