Mariahilfer Straße is a classic shopping street with a mixture of international fashion chains, electronics stores, bookstores, drugstores and local boutiques. In the side streets and courtyards you will often find smaller, alternative shops, galleries or cozy cafes - especially in the part near the MuseumsQuartier. A large part of the road is traffic-calmed or pure pedestrian zone, which makes it particularly pleasant for a city stroll.
