This includes a trip to the Fairy Glen near the harbour town of Uig whwere an ancient landslip has created a unique mystical landscape, a bit like something from Lord of the Rings. It is a truly magical place. We also visited Kilmuir Cemetary where Alexander McQueen, the fashion designer, whose family was from Skye, is buried and Flora Macdonald, who helped Bonnie Prince Charlie escape to Skye after the Battle of Culloden, about which the famous Skye Boat Song is written.
