Zelda Unboxing! Rare Store Displays & Nintendo Promos!

Here we have another Zelda Collector unboxing, and this one is a BIG one! This time we’re opening up a collection of rare Zelda promotional store displays, big box displays, cardboard displays and cutouts that were originally made for stores like GameStop, EB Games and Toys “R” Us! True Zelda Grails! First up is the Hyrule Warriors Legends big box store display for Nintendo 3DS! These massive promotional boxes would have been displayed on top of store shelves or even hung from the ceiling to promote the game. While I’m not the biggest Hyrule warriors fan. The artwork on the box is still pretty awesome! Next, we have the The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past / Four Swords big box display for Game Boy Advance. Being an older Zelda release makes this one considerably harder to find, and they can get pretty expensive when they do show up but having that awesome Gameboy Advance logo makes it all the more worth it! Then we have a brand-new, never-assembled Twilight Princess big box display for Nintendo Wii! This one is especially cool because the box is still completely unused, and it even has the original “Available Soon” date sticker in amazing condition. And because it’s a Wii Game box display, it’s HUGE! Next is the Spirit Tracks Nintendo DS big box display. The front cover is a little more unusual because this was an early pre-release display before the final cover artwork was decided on. The back, however, is packed with awesome artwork, information about the upcoming adventure and screenshots from the game! Then we have the massive Skyward Sword Nintendo Wii big box display, featuring beautiful artwork, a detailed description of the game and, most importantly, the Zelda 25th Anniversary stamp on the front! I also talk a little about how much I love Skyward Sword, including my thoughts on the motion controls and the game’s story and lore. But then we get to one of the coolest pieces in the entire unboxing… A puffed cardboard Nintendo 64 display for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask! Not only is this made from puffed cardboard, but the cartridge artwork is actually a lenticular card, similar to the limited edition version of the game. Even crazier, this display was originally sitting on a counter at EB Games nearly 27 years ago. The fact that it survived all these years and eventually made its way into my collection is absolutely incredible. And finally, we have a Super Smash Bros. cardboard cutout featuring Link and Mario! This is my first official Link cardboard cutout in the collection, so I was especially excited to finally add it. It came with an unpunched Super Smash Bros. logo, and both cutouts still have their original foam block stickers attached on the back — meaning they were never actually assembled or displayed! I’ve wanted an official Link cardboard cutout with the Master Sword for a LONG time, so I’m incredibly happy to finally have one in the collection. And with that, we wrap up this massive unboxing! This brings all of my first official Zelda store displays and cardboard cutouts into the collection — but there’s still plenty more to come!
