In this clip, Sharan Hegde visits Khushi Jain’s home in New York and gets into the real numbers behind her lifestyle. From an apartment with a Manhattan skyline view to groceries, furniture and everyday expenses, Khushi breaks down what living in the city can actually cost. Khushi reveals that a Manhattan apartment like hers can cost upwards of $10,000 a month in rent, while similar homes in areas like Brooklyn, Queens and Astoria can be found for around $5,000–$6,000. She also shares that she and her husband spend roughly $10,000 a month in total, including rent, food and other expenses. The conversation also gets into the smaller costs of setting up a home. Khushi spent around $5,000–$6,000 furnishing the apartment, while her sofa alone cost upwards of $3,000, although it came through a creator partnership. But the most interesting part is the debate around lifestyle inflation. Sharan argues that higher income doesn't necessarily have to mean higher spending, while Khushi explains why her own spending changed as her income increased—and how moving from a scarcity mindset can make it easier to justify things you previously wouldn't buy.
