Locating Waggs on 300 Acres in Fight-or-Flight Mode | Canyon Lake Drone Search — Day 1

We found Waggs—but bringing him home would take more than locating him. 🐾 Hill Country Aerial Solutions was called to Canyon Lake, Texas, to help Brian find his missing dog, Waggs, on a 300-acre property. Waggs had become frightened when a group started shooting skeet and ran off. When we arrived, he had been missing for approximately eight hours. After searching roughly 75% of the property with our thermal drone, we finally located Waggs hiding in a group of trees just off a trail. Brian hoped Waggs would recognize him and allow him to walk up and bring him home. But Waggs was still frightened and in fight-or-flight mode. As Brian approached, Waggs took off running again. We followed him with the drone until he reached another group of trees. Near the end of this video, watch the red circle at the bottom left of the screen—it highlights Waggs slipping away. The search ended for the night with everyone knowing Waggs was still on the property. Brian put out a feeding station, hoping Waggs would return by morning. But our work wasn’t finished. ▶ WATCH DAY 2 — TRAPPING WAGGS:    • Trapping Waggs | Canyon Lake Dog Rescue — ...   A frightened dog may run even from someone they know and love.
