28-minute impression of Durand Jones & The Indications absolute fabulous performance at the Paradiso venue in Amsterdam. Compilation of some of the shots and photos I took during the show for the people that like to revisit or just want to reminisce. (or missed the best show of the year!!) To be honest, I'm not a long time fan. I only discovered Durand Jones & The Indications less than 6 months ago by accident, when the Been So Long video somehow popped up in my YouTube's auto playlist thanks to the algorithm. But boy oh boy, Am I glad it did. Being a little bit disappointed with the current state of soul and R&B music, I was amazed how pure and authentic these guys sound. This is pure craftsmanship. Already purchased the Flowers album, the previous ones will follow soon! Absolute recommendation for those who like the sound of 70's soul music, this one's for you! Checking out the internet to find more about this group, I stumbled upon Aaron Frazer's website, only to find out they would perform here in the Netherlands 2 months later. I needed to hear and see them live, and boy the didn't disappoint! Only to have another super act opening the show, MRCY did deliver and somehow lead singer Kojo Degraft-Johnson reminded me a bit of 90's R&B group Intro's lead singer; the late Kenny Greene. Can't wait for more music from them. Thank you Super-Sonic Jazz for getting these guys over here.
