For the 2 days it will be open for public viewing, about 13,000 free tickets were issued - all of them were claimed within 1 hour of the ticket office opening! Public were invited into the forward hanger deck and were able to wonder around the various displays, and equipment. All of the rest of the ship was locked-off to the public. Even so, it was very interesting. A variety of service personnel were represented - lots of different uniforms, including different actively armed personnel! Every member of staff who attended this event made themselves available for chatting with the public and answering technical, personal, and stupid questions! Look out for the unfortunate member of staff who had the role of being the sparring-partner for the children to hit him with sticks!!!
