A drive through Clacton-on-Sea

This video was filmed on Friday June 9th 2023 around 11am. Clacton-on-Sea is a seaside resort of 57,000 people on the Essex coast 77 miles north-east of Central London. The drive starts in Anglefield on the east side of the town and approaches the sea. Pausing the video while viewing the sea at this point reveals the offshore wind farm. We turn right onto Marine Parade East. Passing the Pavilion Fun Park and Pier on the left, we then turn right into Agate Road and right into West Avenue which becomes Pier Avenue. This is pedestrianised most of the day and mainly contains Amusements. Back at Marine Parade, we cross it and approach the Pier itself with a brief view of the sandy beach as we turn around. We then return up Pier Gap, turn left into Marine Parade West passing the laid out gardens and follow it to its end where a Martello Tower can be seen. Finally a little of Hastings Avenue is shown with a closer view of the Martello Tower and Lifeboat Station.
