I hope you enjoy spending a little time with me in the Korean countryside. 💕 Autumn has arrived at my little country home by the sea 🍂 In today's countryside vlog, I'm tending my vegetable garden, cooking comforting Korean home-style meals, and enjoying delicious seasonal seafood as I welcome the beginning of fall. 🏡 My lovely elderly neighbor gave me a big bunch of sweet potato stems, so I turned them into a delicious Korean side dish. I also made soybean paste stew and a fluffy rolled omelet with vegetables from my garden. Along with fish cake japchae and sweet and spicy stir-fried pork (Jeyuk-bokkeum), I put together a hearty Korean home-cooked meal that could rival a traditional Korean diner! As kimchi-making season approaches, I planted napa cabbage and lettuce seedlings in my garden. I also packed away my summer air conditioner and blackout blinds and started getting my home ready for the cooler autumn days. And of course, one of the best things about fall is all the delicious seasonal food! 🦀 I steamed fresh autumn blue crabs packed with sweet, tender meat and prepared raw jumbo prawns (shrimp sashimi), enjoying them with a variety of dipping sauces. To finish, I mixed rice with the rich, flavorful crab innards. What a perfect autumn feast! 😋 It's a simple but delicious and fulfilling life, living alone in my little countryside home.
