How do plants make their own food—and how do cacti and other CAM plants conserve water while doing it? In this video, learn the basic steps of photosynthesis: how plants use sunlight, chlorophyll, carbon dioxide, and water to make glucose and release oxygen. Then compare typical C3 plants with CAM plants, such as many cacti. C3 plants usually take in carbon dioxide during the day. CAM plants open their stomata at night, take in carbon dioxide, and store it for use during the day, when their stomata can stay closed to reduce water loss. Many desert plants use CAM, though not all do. Watch to understand photosynthesis clearly, revise the key ideas, and see how plant adaptations help in dry environments. #Photosynthesis #CAMPlants #Class10Science #PlantBiology #cactus
